- TSUNAMI RELIEF: 2005 SRI LANKA

- On December 26th 2004 in minutes the world lost 283,000 lives.

- The devastation was massive and on a global scale.

- In Sri Lanka, 31,000 died and 550,000 were displaced.

-

- We chose to work the Tamil Tiger regions of Sri Lanka, as those areas were “out of bounds” for traditional relief groups. 3 weeks after the Tsunami, they were still pulling bodies from the water.

- The team consisted of: (left to right) Dr. Okamaoto, Dawyn Sawyer PA, Doug Weaver and Ken Bechman.
